Lost's best line this week

Said by Sawyer in a panicked but still trying to sound tough voice.

SAWYER: Did you just kill that bunny?

Awesome, it really just doesn't get any better than that.

Monday Night Football at Mo's

So I go to my local watering hole, Mo's Place (203 Culver Blvd. Playa del Rey. 310-822-6422) to watch Monday Night Football. Place was packed, as usual. The Bears won by one point in one of the weirdest games I've seen in a while. But the point is what happened after. Mo came out dressed as a penis clown with two sexy assistants to give away stereo systems etc. You got raffle tickets for each drink you bought that gave you a chance at the prizes. Some drunk guy showed up to yell at his girlfriend, first in the bar, then after he was kicked out, through the window. I asked her what his deal was and all I got was, "He's psycho." Great, you must have made a lovely couple.

There was also a woman trying to have sex with a guy that wasn't really interested and amidst all the chaos, this:

The girl in the silver was stunning. And then there was this guy, stunning in a whole different way. Drunkenly yelling for a "boobie hat" which he eventually got from Mo and is wearing proudly below:

I got a chicken which is also some sort of slingshot weapon, thrown to me by the girl in silver. Very strange night and everyone was about ten years older than me. Felt like I had walked into a David Lynch film.

The Beach - as American as it gets

Venice Beach - more American than baseball, apple pie, and mom combined. Speaking of baseball, Go Tigers. They're going to sweep either the Mets or Cards, whichever of those losers get in. Look at this shot and then try to find me a more American spot on the planet. If you don't get in the ocean at least once a week, you're helping the terrorists win. Hating the beach is unamerican. So go to the beach and pick up your trash. Do it.

New Sporting Event

I really think this will catch on. Truck v. Truck. To the death. As you can see, the place is packed. I think the grey one won. Can't remember as I was so drunk on mojitos. Awesome.

Accidental shot

I think I took this photo by mistake as I was picking up my phone to dial after surfing El Porto. Don't remember shooting it. But I like the composition so here it is. I call it El Porto bathroom. Enjoy...

Al Gore stays cool

So I saw Al Gore at a book signing a couple weeks ago. Signing copies of his book "An Inconvenient Truth." Well, the only inconvenient truth I encountered was the crazy witch in the pink wouldn't let him sign the book the way I wanted him to. How hard would it have been to write, "Stay Cool, Al Gore" That would have been awesome, putting the lie to his whole global warming propaganda. But this woman wouldn't let me. So I declare war on her.

One other thing I noticed is that Al Gore attracts a lot of hot women, and no, I don't mean the humorless moron in the pink shirt. But check out the girl about to hand him her book. Lucky Al. I've got to get into politics. I think I'll run for dogcatcher. Baby steps, Rome wasn't built in a day etc.

The Nipple - Great Artwork #2

Another Warhol documentary inspired work. We called this one the nipple, even though that's not close to what it is.

After Dinner - Great Art Part 1

So my girlfriend and I were watching an Andy Warhol documentary last night and decided to create some genius artwork of our own. This is the first entry. It is called "AFTER DINNER"

Tourist or not?

New game. Four photos, lots of people. One is a Venice honey (classic style of cute girl that only cities like Venice has) Another is the best kind of street vendor (a freaky one) All the rest are tourists. You decide. Post answers in comments

Okay, I've divided them into groups. If you can tell me what the vendor is selling, you get bonus points.

Venice

This photo is all you really need to say about it. It rules. Late afternoon wandering around. Bet you never knew a camera phone could look so good, especially after looking at a few of the other photos on this blog.

Awesome.

All I saw at a Dodger game

So I went to Saturday's Dodger game and this is all I saw. Just as blurry too. Sat in the bleachers and the crowd was more interested in hitting these 99 cent store beach balls around than the game. Dodgers lost 9-3 but I have no idea how because I didn't see much of it. Grown men running through the bleachers, diving in front of little kids to smash the beach ball back up into the stands.

There was a pretty cool little girl though that kept stealing the ball from the ushers and bashing it back into the stands. All in all, pretty fun but guys kept showing up on base and I had no idea how they got there.

And yes, the Dodgers are going to the World Series where they will lose to the mighty Tigers.

Awesome.

These guys

rule. Living the American dream. I've lived in and around Venice for ten years now. They are out everyday with this cart, full of recyclable cans, bottles, whatever else, These guys must be making a mint. They rule. Plus, they've got plans. Whenver I pass by them, they're cooking up some other get rich quick scheme. Goes to show you what you can do when you make the decision to pull yourself up by your bootstraps.

Awesome.

My new favorite shop

This is my new favorite shop, solely because of the owner in the brown shirt. She was incredibly cute. If I hadn't been such a chickenshit with the camera phone, you could see her face and get the full effect of her beauty. Oh well, at least you can go shop there.

People living in shipping containers - Why won't the Dems allow the tax cuts we need?

So a friend of mine just told me she has to live in a shipping container. Her plight brings tears to my eyes. Someone told her that these two photos:

Will end up looking like this:

I didn't have the heart to tell her she'd been had. Hope is supposed to be valuable for some people. Maybe she's one of them. But seriously, a shipping container? Send donations.

Venice revival

This was a weird thing a few weekends ago. Several fresh faced young Christians decided to hold a church service just off the boardwalk on a SATURDAY afternoon. Could hear the music for blocks and blocks. The homeless people were really into it. My personal favorite is the guy or girl with the big afro in the front row.

Bullfight

So I went to a bullfight in Tijuana this past weekend. Pretty awesome. Did the full Hemingway, drank a lot, cheered the bulls. No one got gored though. Maybe next time.

This is on my camera phone. The fifth kill.
